After the success of India’s most violent film ‘Marco’, Mollywood’s handsome Unni Mukundan has been officially announced as the lead in ‘Maa Vand’ which is a biographical film charting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s extraordinary journey. TThe announcement was made on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s birthday.

‘Maa Vande’ to cover Modi’s childhood to national leadership

Written and directed by Kranti Kumar C.H, ‘Maa Vande’ will bring to life the story of Narendra Modi which starts from his modest beginnings to his rise as one of the most influential leaders of India. The narrative aims to present not just political milestones but also the personal struggles along with values that shaped him. As reported by Mathrubhumi, a significant portion of the film will highlight Narendra Modi’s deep and emotional bond with his mother, Heeraben Modi.Unni Mukundan took to his Twitter handle to share the first look poster and penned a note that read, “A man’s story that rises beyond battles… to become a revolution for the ages #MaaVande it is Wishing the Honourable Prime Minister @Narendramodi Ji a very Happy Birthday May glory be revived and brighter things await.”Check out the poster here The poster shows a Modi’s hand writing something on a piece of paper. It symbolizes that the movie will be showcasing PM Modi’s life story on paper and later on screen. Unni Mukundan shared another note on Instagram that read, “I’m humbled to share that I will be portraying the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Damodardas Modi ji, in the upcoming film Maa Vande, directed by @kranthikumarch and produced by @maavandemovie Having grown up in Ahmedabad, I first knew him as my Chief Minister during my childhood. Years later, in April 2023, I had the privilege of meeting him in person, a moment that left an indelible mark on me.”He further wrote, “As an actor, stepping into this role is overwhelming yet deeply inspiring. His political journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, but in this film, we aim to explore the man beyond the statesman, especially his profound bond with his mother, who shaped his character and spirit. From my own interaction with him, two words of him have stayed with me through life’s trials. In Gujarati, he said: “Jhookvanu Nahi”, which means “Never Bow Down.” Those words have been a source of strength and resolve for me ever since. Maa Vande will release worldwide, in every major Indian language and worldwide. On this special occasion, I join the nation in wishing our Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Damodardas Modi ji, a very Happy 75th Birthday. @narendramodi @kranthikumarch @maavandemovie
