Lakshya says Aryan doesn’t behave like a star kid: ‘Yeh toh…’

Lakshya recalls Aryan Khan touching his father's feet at Kill premiere, says he doesn't behave like a star kid: 'Yeh toh humare jaisa...'

Lakshya, fresh off his success in ‘Kill,’ is set to star in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood.’ Lakshya praised Aryan’s down-to-earth nature, shattering his preconceived notions about star kids. He highlighted Aryan’s compassion and dedication to the project. The series, featuring Bobby Deol, explores the journey of an outsider in Bollywood and will stream on September 18.

After impressing one and all with his actioner Kill, Lakshya is all set to star in Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan’s maiden directorial, ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’. In a recent conversation, he spoke about how despite being son of a superstar, Aryan never behaved like a star kid on the set.

Perceptions about star kids broken

Lakshya told Mid-Day that working with Aryan shattered all the perceptions he had of a star kid. “You have read about star kids and seen them on pap pages. All of that perception was broken the first day I met him. He speaks and thinks the way Raghav, Anya, Sahher and I do. He speaks in Hindi. He knows about the discomfort of life because of what he went through. So, he was compassionate. He knew we were all outsiders, and was sensitive about where we were coming from. His beard and hair would grow, and he wouldn’t cut it [because he was focused on the show], and then out of the blue, he would cut all his hair. Nothing about him said that he is a star kid. We used to say, ‘Yeh toh humare jaisa ladka hai’.”

Aryan Khan meets Lakshya’s parents

Lakshya further recalled the time Aryan met his parents at the premiere of Kill. He shared, “He touched my father’s feet. My dad was in awe of him and said, ‘This is Shah Rukh Khan’s son? Tu kabhi mere paer nahin chhoota!’ He can be a star kid with his friends, and then he can become like us as well. He knew both worlds very well.”

Years of waiting for the big push

In the same interview, the young actor revealed that he waited years for that big push in his career. “My life has always been such. Mujhe har cheez rulake milti hai. But I feel if [something comes] quick, it doesn’t last. If you work hard and sincerely on something for a long time, it works out,” he said.Elaborating further, Lakshyaa added, “People used to say, ‘Tumhara serial kab aayega?’ But we were aware that what we were making would take time. Aryan has taken his time in writing, shooting, and editing it.”The series delves into the life of an outsider, Aasman Singh , as he navigates the glitzy yet challenging world of Bollywood. Bobby will be seen in the role of Ajay Talwar, a superstar and father to a Sahher Bambba’s Karishma Talwar, a rising starlet. It is all set to stream on an OTT platform on September 18. Go to Source
