NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 75 on Wednesday and his birthday came packed with the launch of welfare programmes, schemes and greetings from massive global powers, including US and Russia.Bharatiya Janata Party launched ‘Sewa Pakhwada’ in which blood donation camps were organised in the states ruled by the saffron party, including Delhi.US President Donald Trump called his “friend” to wish him on his birthday and appreciated his efforts towards “ending the war between Russia and Ukraine.” At the same time, Russian ambassador to India Denis Alipov admired PM Modi’s contributions towards taking New Delhi-Moscow relationship to “new heights.” Highlights from PM Modi’s birthday:

‘Lead nation to new heights of progress’: President Murmu’s message to PM Modi

President Droupadi Murmu extended greetings to PM Modi with a message to “lead the nation to new heights of progress” given his “unparalleled leadership.””Heartfelt birthday greetings and best wishes the Prime Minister of India narendram ji. By exemplifying the pinnacle of diligence, you have instilled a culture of achieving great goals in the nation through your extraordinary leadership. Today, the global community also expresses its confidence in your guidance. I pray to God that you always remain healthy and joyful, and with your unparalleled leadership, lead the nation to new heights of progress,” she said in a post on X. Union home minister Amit Shah credited PM Modi with Covid vaccines, farmer welfare along with bringing “pride to both heritage and science” from the “southern pole of the moon in space to the depths of the sea in Dwarka.””Under PM Modi’s leadership India has also become a hub of global aspirations. BJP launches ‘Sewa Pakhwada’; Delhi CM donates blood

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta and minister Parvesh Verma donated blood at a camp organised by the BJP as part of ‘Sewa Pakhwada’. “Various events have been organised across the country as part of ‘Sewa Pakhwada’. Common people, party workers everyone is participating in cleanliness drive, blood donation and other such programmes. Everyone is wishing PM Modi on his birthday in their own way. I also wish PM Modi and pray for his good health and long life,” Verma said.

Global wishes pour in

Trump called PM Modi and wished him on his birthday, admiring him for his “tremendous job” at “ending the war between Russia and Ukraine!””Just had a wonderful phone call with my friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I wished him a very Happy Birthday! He is doing a tremendous job. Narendra: Thank you for your support on ending the War between Russia and Ukraine!” he said. PM Modi responded to the greetings saying, “Thank you, my friend, President Trump, for your phone call and warm greetings on my 75th birthday. Like you, I am also fully committed to taking the India-US Comprehensive and Global Partnership to new heights. We support your initiatives towards a peaceful resolution of the Ukraine conflict.” Russian ambassador to India Denis Alipov wished PM Modi saying, “Heartfelt birthday greetings and best wishes to the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri @narendramodiji! We are grateful for his invaluable contribution in taking the decades-old friendship between Russia and India to new heights.
