A massive cloudburst occurred in the outskirts of Uttarakhand’s Dehradun. Following this, the city witnessed landslides and heavy downpour in the Sahastradhara area.

Recently, a few days ago, a severe cloudburst occurred in the Dharali area of Uttarkashi on August 5, triggering devastating flash floods and landslides that destroyed homes, hotels, and homestays.

The incident resulted in deaths, many missing people, and significant damage to infrastructure, including roads and buildings, and prompted immediate rescue operations by the NDRF and ITBP.
