'Might need it today': Coldplay's Chris Martin pauses concert in London to send love to Charlie Kirk’s family - watch

Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin is in headlines once again as he paid respect to right-wing activist and Donald Trump’s ally Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated last week at Utah University. During the final leg of their “Music of the Spheres” tour in London, Martin took the stage with his band encouraged the audience to spread and share some love in the world. “Let’s raise our hands like this and send love anywhere you wanna send it in the world, and there are so many places that might need it today,” Martin said onstage at Wembley Stadium, according to video of him going viral on social media. “So, here it comes from London. You can send this to your brother or sister, you can send it to the families of people who have been going through terrible stuff,” he added. “You can send it to Charlie Kirk’s family, you can send it to anybody’s family,” he continued. “You can send it to people you disagree with, but you send them love anyway. You can send it to peaceful people in the Middle East and Ukraine and Russia and Azerbaijan and Sudan, and London, anywhere you think might need love from London. Here it comes.”Social media reacted to the video with many appreciating his action. “It literally took exactly that for me to like Coldplay.. How amazing. God bless that band,” one user wrote. “Chris Martin stopping a London show to send love to Charlie’s family—those cheers said it all,” another said. “This makes me very happy. We welcome them to the fold,” a third person commented.
