According to sources, late-night discussions at the Rashtrapati Bhavan between President Ramchandra Paudel and the Speaker of the House of Representatives led to a consensus in favor of Karki’s appointment. The meeting was also attended by Karki herself, where several key issues were discussed, eventually paving the way for her leadership.President Paudel had earlier held consultations with political party leaders to build consensus for the formation of a new government. With political negotiations at a stalemate, the agreement to hand over the command to Karki is seen as a significant move to stabilize governance.
