Teja Sajja’s 'Mirai' is all set to break HanuMan’s premiere day record in North America

Teja Sajja’s new film, Mirai, is off to a strong start, potentially surpassing HanuMan’s premiere day numbers in North America. The film has already earned over USD 367,000 in premiere shows and advance bookings are strong. In India, Mirai has also opened well, crossing Rs 1 crore by 10 AM, indicating a promising box office performance.

After the stupendous success of his last film HanuMan, Teja Sajja is back once again to big screen this time with a mythology fantasy film Mirai and it seems the film has already connected with the audience. As per the initial numbers coming in the film is all set to break HanuMan’s premiere day numbers by a margin. HanuMan has minted USD 385,000 from its premiere shows but till a few hours ago Mirai had crossed USD 367,000 with few more hours for the closing of the day in North America, the film expected to be Teja Sajja’s biggest premiere day in the circuit. The film’s advance booking is also speaking volumes for the craze of the film. In the USA the advance booking for the film has already crossed USD 125,000 and going by the trend, it should end its day one collection with another USD 400,000. With this pace the film is expected to cross the USD 1 million mark before the weekend. Mirai is a fantasy adventure and a sci-fi action thriller that fuses Indian mythology with contemporary super-hero storytelling. Rooted in ancient Indian folklore, the film revolves around 9 sacred scriptures which are said to be created by Emperor Ashoka after the Kalinga War. These scriptures hold divine powers to transform mortals into gods.In India as well the film has taken a very good start at the box office as by 10 AM the film has crossed Rs 1 crore mark. The film has till now minted Rs 1.17 crore which till 9 AM was just 56 lakh. So in one hour the film has jumped more than 100 %. The film has been directed by Karthik Gattamneni and stars Ritika Nayak and Manoj Kumar Manchu. Post Mirai, Teja would be seen in the sequel to HanuMan where he will be hsaring screen space with Rishabh Shetty.
