'Demon Slayer - Infinity Castle' box office collection: Anime film expected to have a strong debut; records Rs 18 crore in advance booking

The Japanese Anime film, ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle,’ hit the screens on September 12, 2025, after a long time of fans holding onto their seats for its release in India. The film, portraying the beginning of the ultimate end, had record-breaking advance bookings. With all eyes towards the film, the Haruo Sotozaki directorial is expected to surge the expectations with a big start.

Demon Slayer slays the box office even before the release

At some of the places in the metropolitan cities, 5:00 a.m. shows as well as midnight shows were added after the tickets quickly sold out. After receiving a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), the film will have a run time of 2 hours and 35 minutes, according to reports by Sacnilk. Additionally, as the film will be shown in 1700 theatres nationwide, fans joined in to watch the film – leading to crossing a whopping Rs. 25 crores. Moreover, the pre-booking saw the anticipation getting to new heights, with the seats being sold out for Rs. 18 crores for just the debut day.As a couple of seats are not sold as of yet, the film is expected to continue its booking, which might even lead to Rs. 14 – 15 crores as its debut sales. While the film has become the highest-grossing non-Hollywood film in India, the genre has a limited fanbase. The opening sales are expected to be around Rs. 18 – 20 crores in India. The animated saga will be released in 5 languages, including Japanese (original) with English subtitles, English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

The film, ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle,’ revolves around the demon king, Muzan, who has launched an attack on Tanjiro and his fellow Demon Slayer Corps members to pull him into the dangerous maze of Infinity Castle. Go to Source
