Sunjay’s mother accuses Priya of selling off his assets

Sunjay Kapur's mother Rani Kapur accuses Priya Sachdev of selling off his assets amid Rs 30,000 crore inheritance battle

The high-profile inheritance dispute over late industrialist Sunjay Kapur’s estate has taken a dramatic turn with his mother, Rani Kapur, levelling explosive allegations against his widow, Priya Sachdev. Rani has claimed that Priya is in the process of selling her son’s assets, leaving her with nothing.

‘I have been left with not a roof over my head’

Appearing before the Delhi High Court on Wednesday (September 10), Rani Kapur’s counsel, senior advocate Vaibhav Gaggar, alleged that Priya excluded the 80-year-old from her rightful share.“Rs 10,000 crore worth of assets should have been mine. Today, I have nothing… not even a roof over my head. Ms Sachdeva (Priya) comes in, and within three months of her getting married, everything goes? My son today leaves me with nothing, and now the assets are being sold,” her counsel argued, as per a report in Hindustan Times. He further claimed Rani had written over a dozen emails seeking clarity on the will, but received no response.
