National Award-winning actress Kriti Sanon is highly loved in the industry for her versatility. Over the years, she didn’t shy away from any character or story that held substance. From comedy to romance to serious drama, she has tried her hand in every genre. In addition to understanding her characters and projects, Kriti Sanon now also understands the importance of ‘switching off’ in both personal and professional lives. “Before Mimi and Do Patti, I used to believe that the characters I played never affected me in real life. But those two films made me realise that, even if you think you’re unaffected, your characters always leave a subconscious impact,” she said in an exclusive interview with us.

Highlighting more that playing an intense role leaves an indelible mark, Kriti continued, “Sometimes you notice it a week later, sometimes just a few days later, through the way you’re feeling or reacting. That’s when I understood how important it is to switch off from your character consciously.”Further, these films taught Kriti to switch off from her personal emotions to remain in character. “At the same time, it’s equally important to switch off from your personal life. There have been many instances when I’ve been emotionally low or dealing with something difficult in my life, yet I’ve had to shoot for a comedy. That has happened to me quite often,” she added.“As actors, we’re constantly tapping into and playing with our emotions, so I believe it’s essential to take care of your mental and emotional well-being,” she said, before adding, “Whether it’s meditation, therapy, or anything else that helps you stay balanced, it’s important to have that support. I meditate on and off, and that’s something I personally find very helpful.”Kriti Sanon last appeared in ‘Cocktail 2’ alongside Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. According to Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs 147.63 crore in total gross. This includes Rs 95.40 crore India net and Rs 34 crore from the overseas market.
