Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control and Los Angeles County Department of Regional Planning searched the premises after the officials suspected that more than 100 dogs were present. The purpose of the impromptu raid was to assess the animals and gather evidence on the property, according to TMZ. The 67-year-old actress was reportedly extremely cooperative during the 6 am search by the authorities. The search was conducted at the behest of the L.A. County D.A., D.A. investigators, members of Animal Control, Zoning, Building and Safety, and other agencies. Despite appearing as a violation, none of the dogs was taken away, and authorities checked that no one was bitten.“The warrant allows us to lawfully access the property and verify compliance with County codes,” Animal Control said in a statement to the press, per Deadline, and added, “Our priority is the safety and well-being of both the animals on the property and the people who may be working or residing here. This inspection will help us determine whether conditions meet required standards.”
