‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’ wasted no time to release their brand-new season after the panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday. After the mind-bending cliffhanger, the new chapters seek to see the transformation of post-apocalyptic Manhattan, along with the enemies-to-allies arc of Maggie and Dean. Moreover, one of the most thrilling castings was announced at their appearance at the prestigious festival.
‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’ Season 3: Plot and release date
The official synopsis for Season 3 reads, “Maggie and Negan finally put aside their differences to build the first thriving community in Manhattan since the apocalypse. When chaos in the city begins to arise, they are forced to question: have they learned from their old wounds or will their dark past spell doom for the entire city?”The episodes are scheduled for release in the United States of America; the global release is not mentioned yet. Going with the timeline, the first episode was released on July 26, 2026, on AMC and AMC+. With weekly releases, the finale will conclude on September 13, 2026, with eight episodes. Emily Kinney is all geared up to appear in an episode of Season 3 based in an ‘alternate universe.’ Her character, who passed away after being shot in the head in the original series, will make a poignant comeback alongside her on-screen sister, Lauren Cohan. The other cast members of the show include Logan Kim, Jimmi Simpson, Raúl Castillo, Aimee Garcia and Michael Emery.
