According to the Hindustan Times report, Katrina Kaif’s rumoured acting comeback is ‘completely inaccurate and misleading’. The report stated, “There is absolutely no truth to the claims being made about Katrina Kaif’s future acting plans. The report is based entirely on speculation and misinformation, with no verification.”

The buzz around Katrina Kaif joining ‘Spirit’ gained massive traction because it would mark her return to Tollywood after nearly two decades, as well as her first film since becoming a mother. Katrina last appeared in a Telugu film with 2005’s ‘Allari Pidugu’, opposite Balakrishna and Charmmee Kaur. She made her Telugu debut with 2004’s ‘Malliswari’, co-starring Venkatesh. Her most recent on-screen appearance was in Sriram Raghavan’s ‘Merry Christmas’ in 2024, alongside Vijay Sethupathi.
