‘I’m so very loved’: Kajol marks National Parents’ Day with emotional note, shares rare photos of parents and in-laws

National Parents’ Day is observed every year to recognise the unconditional love, care and dedication of parents. The occasion celebrates the vital role mothers and fathers play in raising children and strengthening families.Actress Kajol celebrated National Parents’ Day by sharing a deeply personal post dedicated to the people who shaped her life. The actress took to social media on Sunday and posted a series of rare black-and-white family photographs. Along with the pictures, she penned an emotional note expressing gratitude towards both her parents and her parents-in-law.

Rare pictures feature Tanuja Mukerju, Shomu Mukherjee and Veeru Devgan

Among the images shared by Kajol was a childhood photograph featuring herself with her parents, veteran actress Tanuja and late filmmaker Shomu Mukherjee. Her sister Tanishaa Mukerji also appeared in the nostalgic family portrait. The monochrome picture captured the family smiling together during Kajol’s early years. Another photograph paid tribute to her in-laws. It featured late action director Veeru Devgan and Veena Devgan, the parents of actor Ajay Devgn.

Kajol opens up about understanding parenthood

In her note, Kajol reflected on how becoming a parent changes a person’s perspective. She explained that the responsibilities of raising children can only be fully understood after experiencing parenthood firsthand. Sharing her feelings, Kajol wrote, “#Happyparentsday ..We are all parents now and the sheer responsibility of being a parent is something that u truly don’t understand till it happens to you.. and u never know how much ur parents love u and have sacrificed for u till it happens to u . So this is a gratitude post to all my parents for loving me so much. I’m so very loved and therefore so very blessed.”

Kajol’s ‘Maa’

On the professional front, Kajol was last seen in ‘Maa’, a mythological horror thriller directed by Vishal Furia. She played the central character in the film. The movie received mixed reviews.
