According to early estimates on Sacnilk, ‘The Odyssey’ earned Rs 6.85 crore net on Day 8 across 5,383 shows, registering an 11.4 per cent increase over Thursday’s Rs 6.15 crore net collection. The rise is particularly significant as it marks the beginning of the film’s second weekend theatrical run. The English version once again drove the film’s business, contributing an estimated Rs 6 crore on Friday. Meanwhile, the Hindi, Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions collectively added an estimated Rs 85 lakh, underscoring the dominance of the original English-language release while maintaining a steady foothold across dubbed markets.With Rs 90.30 crore net collected during its first week, the film’s latest earnings have pushed its total India collections to an estimated Rs 97.15 crore net and Rs 115.92 crore gross.

‘The Odyssey’ to beat ‘Oppenheimer’ at Indian box office

With the film, starring Matt Damon in the lead, now officially surpassing the Rs 115 crore gross milestone in India, it is inching closer to surpassing the lifetime collections of Nolan’s own ‘Oppenheimer’, which remains one of the highest-grossing Hollywood releases in the country. The Oscar-winning film concluded its Indian theatrical run with Rs 128.46 crore, and at its current pace, ‘The Odyssey’ is expected to overtake that figure over its second weekend and become Nolan’s highest-grossing film in India.The film has already entered the list of the top 15 highest-grossing Hollywood films in India. If it surpasses ‘The Odyssey’, it will enter the top 10 list of highest-earning Hollywood releases in the country.

‘The Odyssey’ global box office collections

The Odyssey is enjoying equally impressive success worldwide. According to estimates on Box Office Mojo, the film has amassed USD 342 million at the global box office. North America remains the film’s biggest market, contributing an estimated USD 199 million, while overseas territories have collectively added another USD 142 million.
