Deepika Padukone once spoke about her breakup with Siddharth Mallya, citing an embarrassing dinner bill incident. Mallya responded by calling her ‘a crazy female’. Recently, Deepika and Ranveer celebrated their daughter Dua’s first birthday. Deepika baked a cake for the occasion. She was last seen in ‘Singham Again’. Next, she will appear in Atlee’s film with Allu Arjun.

Before marrying Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone was in a relationship with former businessman’s son Siddharth Mallya. They were one of the most talked-about couples back in the day. They reportedly started dating in 2011, but their romance was short-lived.

Deepika opens up about the breakup

Deepika once opened up about her breakup with Siddharth in an interview with International Business Times. She said she really tried to make things work, but his behavior lately had left her disappointed. The final straw? On their last dinner together, he actually asked her to pay the bill — and it really embarrassed her. That’s when she realized it was time to end things.

After the breakup, Siddharth called the actress ‘a crazy female.’ He said he had promised to pay her back once his father’s debts were cleared, but she wasn’t willing to wait. He also pointed out all the expensive gifts, designer bags, fancy vacations, and parties he had arranged for her.

Celebrating Dua’s first birthday

Meanwhile, Deepika and Ranveer’s daughter, Dua, celebrated her first birthday on September 8. To mark the special day, the new mommy baked a chocolate cake and shared a photo on Instagram, complete with a single candle on top. She captioned the post, ‘My love language? Baking a cake for my daughter’s 1st birthday!’ On the work front, Deepika was last seen in ‘Singham Again’. The Rohit Shetty directorial also starred Ranveer Singh, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Jackie Shroff, and his son Tiger Shroff, among others.Next, she she will feature in Atlee’s upcoming film, tentatively titled AA22xA6.
