Actor Joju George has made serious allegations against an unnamed star couple. Speaking during an Instagram Live session held in connection with the release of his latest film ‘Varavu’, the actor claimed that a leading Malayalam actor and his wife have been running a PR campaign against him. Without naming anyone, Joju alleged that the campaign was deliberately aimed at damaging his image. He also suggested that such practices are not limited to one individual or one family in the industry.According to the actor, paid publicity campaigns have become increasingly common in Malayalam cinema. However, he stopped short of identifying any of the people he was referring to.

During the live interaction, Joju expanded on his allegations by claiming that several well-known personalities from the Malayalam film industry are using paid PR strategies. He said, “I am aware of such activities, but i won’t disclose any names or provide further details.”The actor’s comments came at a time when Varavu has been facing mixed to negative reactions following its theatrical release. The movie, directed by Shaji Kailas, is receiving criticism for its ’90s style storytelling and execution, which the majority of viewers call outdated.

Apart from his allegations regarding paid PR activities, Joju also addressed what he described as a coordinated negative campaign targeting ‘Varavu’. According to him, the criticism surrounding the film is not entirely organic.
