Nicholas Galitzine’s ‘Masters of the Universe’ is officially all set for its OTT release! The film, a direct live-action adaptation of the toy line franchise, is releasing online soon. If you missed the magic of the beloved characters on the big screen, it will soon be available on OTT to watch from the comfort of your home.
‘Masters of the Universe’ OTT release date
It has been confirmed that the film is slated to release online on OTT platforms for everyone to watch. It will specifically be available on Prime Video on July 22 this month. The film was previously released in theatres worldwide on June 5. The official release announcement was shared online, where the film’s official Instagram page posted about it. They shared a video from the movie along with “Listen Up! Watch Masters of the Universe – July 22 on Prime Video,” written in the caption.

Based on the popular He-Man toy line, Nicholas Galitzine stars in the leading role as He-Man, a young boy just discovering his powers. Once he accepts his fate, he must do everything in his power to save the kingdom of a royal planet along with all other realms. The official synopsis reads: “A young man on Earth discovers a fabulous secret legacy as the prince of an alien planet and must recover a magic sword and return home to protect his kingdom. ” Alongside Galitzine, Jared Leto also stars in the film as one of the main antagonists, the infamous Skeletor, who is hell-bent on taking over all realms.Other cast members include Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress. Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, James Purefoy as King Randor, Idris Elba as Man-at-Arms, and Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena. The franchise returned to the big screen after almost 39 years, the last film, starring Dolph Lundgren, was released in 1987. According to reports from Box Office Mojo, the film made USD 114 million at the box office against an overall production cost of USD 170 million to 200 million.
