In a post shared on his blog, the Bollywood star penned his thoughts about undergoing a surgery and spending time in the ICU, followed by the psychological and physical impact it has on one.

In a post on his personal blog, the 83-year-old actor penned an emotional note that read, “.. in Hospital in a surgery and in the ICU, under the care of proficient Doctors and medical Staff.”

Going on to talk about the challenges of recovery following a hospitalisation, he further shared, “.. a discharge .. and a homecoming ..this homecoming period is the most difficult phase .. physically, psychologically and practically …. you are a revered Champion and one day a defeat stares at you .. this is the most difficult phase of your life ..”He further shared his reflections writing, “.. some brave it .. some succumb .. they that strive and be brave ever remain Champions .. they that do not , get reconciled and live, exist in the past glory .. a choice each makes individually ..nothing wrong by either ..be well be happy ..(sic)”

Soon after, Bachchan also took to his social media handle to tweet a cryptic message that read, “T 5806 – The game has ended! But the work is still going on.” The post sparked concern among fans who took to the comments section to wish him good health. “Get well soon Amit Ji,” worte a fan. Another said, “Take care of your health sir… praying for you.” “Keeping you in our prayers,” another wrote.

Amitabh Bachchan, has often spoken up about his health struggles over the years. In May, word spred that the actor had been admitted to hospital. However, a source told ETimes, “Mr Bachchan did visit Nanavati Hospital on Saturday, however, it was a regular check-up which he goes for every month and he returned home after that.” The source further added, “The news is absolutely false. He is absolutely fine and after his regular hospital visit on Saturday, he was back home and was also seen driving his car from Jalsa to Janak the next day. He is currently at home.”
