He said a seven-member committee was formed on April 27 to examine the issue, invite suggestions and study the implementation of the UCC in states where it is already in force.According to Yadav, the committee received 9.58 lakh suggestions, while the government also gathered public opinion through rallies, print, electronic and social media. He said nearly 3 crore SMS messages were received during the consultation process. He added that 93.54 per cent of respondents supported the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code in Madhya Pradesh.Highlighting responses from the Muslim community, Yadav said 80 per cent of Muslim women and 40 per cent of Muslim men who participated in the consultation favoured a common civil law.”We have taken a resolution to ensure that everyone in society receives equal rights without any discrimination.
