Mahesh Babu, Chiranjeevi, SS Rajamouli celebrate Skyroot Aerospace's historic 'Vikram-1' rocket launch: ‘India reaching for the stars’

Telugu superstars Mahesh Babu and Megastar Chiranjeevi congratulated Skyroot Aerospace after the successful launch of Vikram-1, India’s first privately developed orbital rocket. The ‘Varanasi’ star shared his pride watching the ‘India reaching for the stars and delivering’ as the launch marked a historic mission for the Hyderabad-based space company.

Mahesh Babu celebrates historic achievement

Mahesh Babu took to his Instagram handle to share his joy and praised the team’s hard work and determination. He wrote, “India reaching for the stars and delivering…. So so proud of our young team at Skyroot Aerospace from Hyderabad… #Vikram1 reaching orbit on its very first mission is a testament to the brilliance and perseverance of our private space sector…!! Congratulations to @SkyrootA and every single person who poured their heart into this achievement.”

Chiranjeevi congratulates the team

Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi also celebrated the mission’s success. He congratulated Skyroot Aerospace, ISRO, and IN-SPACe for this achievement. He wrote, “Today marks a historic milestone in India’s space journey. Heartiest congratulations to Skyroot Aerospace, ISRO, and IN-SPACe on the successful launch of #Vikram1, India’s first privately developed orbital rocket.” He also expressed his pride that the project was designed and developed in his home city. “It fills me with immense pride that this remarkable achievement was completely designed and developed in Hyderabad by the brilliant young team at @SkyrootA. May this historic success inspire countless young minds and propel Bharat to even greater heights on its journey towards a Viksit Bharat. Congratulations once again, Team Vikram-1!,” the ‘Vishwambhara’ star added.SS Rajamouli also took to his X handle and wrote, “From India to orbit! @SkyrootA has scripted history with VIKRAM-1, India’s first private rocket to reach orbit, built by a Hyderabad-based team whose average age is just 28… This is what young India is capable of. Immensely proud… Congratulations to the whole team. Jai Hind.”

About ‘Vikram-1’

Speaking of the project, ‘Vikram-1’ is a four-stage launch vehicle designed to provide quick and on-demand launch services for small satellites. The rocket is named after Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, known as the father of India’s space programme.Meanwhile, on the acting front, Mahesh Babu is working on his next grand time travelling action drama, ‘Varanasi’ and Chiranjeevi is working with director Bobby Kolli for his next film.
