The protest site at Jantar Mantar continues to remain active after Sonam Wangchuk was shifted to Safdarjung Hospital for medical supervision. Ground reports indicate that several supporters, students, and political leaders are still present at the location, continuing their protest and raising their demands. Leaders including Brinda Karat, Yogendra Yadav, and Abhijit Dike have been seen at the protest platform, where supporters gathered after Wangchuk was taken away for treatment. Protesters have maintained that the hunger strike movement will continue despite Wangchuk’s hospitalisation. According to reports from the ground, the entry points around Jantar Mantar remain accessible, with Delhi Police conducting routine checks before allowing people inside the protest area. Officials have maintained that there is no restriction on peaceful participation at the site. Supporters carrying pamphlets and national flags were seen at the venue, while slogans continued from the stage. Protest organisers have announced that further action will be decided as the movement progresses. Meanwhile, Sonam Wangchuk remains admitted at Safdarjung Hospital under doctors’ observation. Medical teams are monitoring his condition after concerns were raised over his health during his prolonged hunger strike. Doctors have indicated that his condition is currently stable. The hospitalisation took place after directions from the Delhi High Court, which stressed the importance of protecting Wangchuk’s health and ensuring medical supervision. Authorities stated that the decision was taken due to his declining health indicators during the fast.
