A day ago, momager and businesswoman Kriss Jenner shared the shocking news that her mother, Mary Jo Shannon, who was also known by MJ, has passed away. Following the news, many people from the industry reached out to Jenner and the entire family to offer their tributes and condolences. Ellen DeGeneres, who is best known for her reality TV work, was one of the many who extended their support for the Kardashian-Jenner family.

Over the years, Ellen and the Kardashian-Jener family has continued to share close bond. A day after Kris announced the news of her mother’s passing, the reality TV show host took to her Instagram account in order to share her condolences about her mother. She posted a photo of Kris and MJ that had been circulating around online since, and wrote an emotional note in the caption. It read, “Portia and I know how much you loved your mother and what a special force she was in your life and your entire family‘s life. I can’t imagine the grief that you’re feeling right now. We’re sending you our love. @krisjenner”. The post was acknowledged by Khloé Kardashian, Kris’s daughter, who posted in the comment section: “You are the sweetest!!! You’re such a great friend to my mommy (herart emojis)”.

Taking to her Instagram account, the Kardashian-Jenner matriacrh announced that her mother has left for her heavenly abode. Posting an old and vintage photo of her, she posted, “She taught me everything that truly matters … to love your family fiercely, to be kind, to show up for the people you love, and to never take a single moment together for granted. She taught us that family is everything. She showed us how to love unconditionally and how to find joy in the little moments.” She also called her mother the “heart of our family.”She further concluded her post by adding, “When I look at my kids and my grandkids, I will forever see pieces of you in all of us. There is not a part of me that isn’t shaped by you. And if I have done anything right in this world, it’s because I spent my life trying to live in a way that would make you proud. Every memory, every moment, every blessing, it was all because of you, and I will forever thank God every single day for making you my mommy. My heart is broken into a million pieces… thank you for giving me the greatest childhood and oh what a beautiful blessed life… I love you forever Mommy. Thank you for giving us everything.” Mary Jo ‘MJ’ Shannon passed away on July 16 and was 91 years old at the time of her passing.
