Veteran actress Zarina Wahab is celebrating her birthday today. While she has earned immense love for her performances on screen, her personal life has frequently drawn public attention. Married to actor Aditya Pancholi and mother to actor Sooraj Pancholi, Zarina has often spoken candidly about her marriage, including the rumours surrounding Aditya’s alleged extramarital relationships.The couple, who married in 1986, remained in the spotlight during reports linking Aditya to actress Kangana Ranaut. Over the years, Zarina has shared that such rumours never weakened their relationship, explaining that she focused on the life they built together rather than what was being said outside their home. During a conversation with Nayandeep Rakshit, Zarina reflected on how she dealt with speculation about her husband’s personal life. She said, “I used to feel a little bad when I used to read affair rumours, but then I also laughed at them. I don’t care what he does outside, but when he enters the house, he is an excellent father and husband. And that’s all that matters to me. I would have felt bad if only he brought his affairs home. If I take all of these things too seriously and fight, I will suffer. I don’t want to suffer, I love myself.”She also addressed the widespread perception that she has been unhappy because of her marriage. According to Zarina, many people assume she has lived under constant stress due to Aditya’s alleged affairs, but she disagrees with that narrative. She added that public opinion often places all the blame on the man while overlooking the role of the other person involved.In another interview, the ‘My Name Is Khan’ actress revealed that she never confronted Aditya about the alleged relationships, despite being aware of them. Instead, she chose to judge their marriage by the way he treated her and their family within the home.Speaking to Lehren Radio in 2024, Zarina said, “I was always aware of Nirmal (Aditya’s real name)’s affairs, but I never questioned him. I only cared about how he treated me when he was home. I ignored asking him questions because it would have made him fearless. I was completely prepared for him to have affairs.”For those unfamiliar with their journey, Zarina and Aditya first crossed paths while working together on the film Kalank Ka Tika.
