‘Spider-Man’ extended trailer attached to ‘The Odyssey’ – WATCH

'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' extended trailer attached to 'The Odyssey'; new footage of Tom Holland and Zendaya starrer recaps Peter Parker's journey - WATCH

Marvel fans heading to theatres for Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’ are reportedly being treated to an extended look at ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’.Within hours of the film’s release, fans of the Tom Holland and Zendaya starrer, took to social media to share the extended clip online. As per the video, the trailer gives fans a recap of Peter Parker’s emotional journey through the Marvel Cinematic Universe before teasing his next chapter.

‘Spider-Man’ recap drops with ‘The Odyssey’

The extended trailer revisits key moments from Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy, beginning with ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ and culminating in the heartbreaking ending of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’. The recap has Peter narrating his decision to sacrifice his personal happiness by asking Doctor Strange to make the world and his closest friends, MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon) forget that he is Spider-Man.

About ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’

The new film officially picks up four years after those events, with Peter living alone and operating as Spider-Man full-time in a New York City that no longer knows who he is. While he devotes himself completely to protecting New York, the mounting pressure of his double life triggers a mysterious physical transformation while a powerful new threat emerges.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ post-credit scene linked to ‘Dooms

This drop also comes at a time when reports state that the upcoming film, set for its release on July 30, will feature a post-credit scene linked to ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. The speculation intensified after Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently hinted that Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova could appear in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ before returning as a member of the New Avengers in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. Although no appearance has been officially confirmed, Feige suggested fans might see the character “a little bit sooner,” fuelling theories that the Spider-Man sequel could serve as a bridge to the next Avengers blockbuster.Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, also stars Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Mando and Tramell Tillman.
