The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the NEET UG 2026 results, bringing an end to months of anticipation following the examination and subsequent controversies. A total of over 11.21 lakh candidates have successfully qualified this year’s medical entrance examination, paving the way for admissions to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other undergraduate medical programmes across India. This year, Aryan Gupta from Punjab and Panshul Bansal from Haryana emerged as joint All India Rank 1 holders after securing an impressive 715 out of 720 marks. Both toppers credited disciplined study schedules, consistent preparation, and guidance from their teachers for their success. They also emphasized limiting distractions and maintaining focus throughout their preparation. Female candidates dominated this year’s results, accounting for more than 58 percent of all qualified students. Girls also recorded a higher success rate than boys, continuing the trend of strong performances by female aspirants in one of India’s most competitive entrance examinations. Among the states, Uttar Pradesh recorded the highest number of successful candidates, with more than 1.7 lakh students qualifying the examination. The result reflects the state’s large participation and growing competition among medical aspirants. The declaration of the NEET UG 2026 results marks a significant milestone for lakhs of students aspiring to pursue careers in medicine. Qualified candidates will now move to the counselling phase, where seats in medical and dental colleges across the country will be allotted based on merit, category, and preference. The counselling schedule and admission process are expected to begin shortly through the designated authorities.
