Welcome To The Jungle box office collection day 19

'Welcome To The Jungle' box office collection day 19: Akshay Kumar's film slows down, worldwide total reaches Rs 188.58 crore

‘Welcome To The Jungle’ slowed on day 19, earning Rs 0.25 crore net, taking India collections to Rs 130.85 crore and worldwide gross to Rs 188.58 crore. The film had a strong opening week, crossing Rs 90 crore. It stars Akshay Kumar as an actor mistaken for military help by a village fearing criminal Zataara (Jackie Shroff).

Akshay Kumar’s comic entertainer ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ took a big hit at the box office on its third Tuesday. This slowdown followed a stronger weekend, making the weekday dip a fairly predictable pattern. That said, the film’s overall run continues to hold up decently, with worldwide collections now closing in on the Rs 190 crore mark.

Welcome To The Jungle’s day 19 numbers

According to reports from Sacnilk, the film collected a net of Rs 0.25 crore in India on day 19. With this, ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ has reached a total India net collection of Rs 130.85 crore, and its domestic gross stands at Rs 155.48 crore. The overseas market also contributed to the film’s overall run. On Day 19, it earned Rs 0.25 crore gross overseas, pushing its total gross to Rs 33.10 crore. Combining both markets, the film’s worldwide gross collection has now reached Rs 188.58 crore.

Welcome To The Jungle’s strong opening week

The film opened strongly, earning Rs 63.75 crore net on the first day. By the end of Week 1, it had crossed the Rs 90 crore mark, with the opening Sunday alone delivering a single-day peak of Rs 24.75 crore. The worldwide gross, too, sailed past the Rs 90 crore milestone in the same period, with Week 1 closing at Rs 93.45 crore internationally.

What ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ is about

The story follows Rajeev, played by Akshay Kumar, an actor trying to salvage his career after a string of flops. Just when a quirky new project seems to offer him a shot at revival, things spiral in an unexpected direction: a village mistakes his film crew for a genuine military unit, believing they’ve come to protect them from a dreaded criminal, Zataara, played by Jackie Shroff. No matter how often Rajeev clarifies that he’s merely an actor, he keeps getting swept into one absurd situation after another, with the resulting confusion fueling much of the film’s comedy.
