JiDion says he has been fully cleared after the charges linked to his viral June 22 arrest were dismissed with prejudice. In a post shared after his July 13 court hearing, the streamer said the case is now over and cannot be brought back. He also revealed that the fans arrested with him had their cases resolved and their records expunged. The update comes weeks after his arrest during a Kick livestream outside a McDonald’s in Woodhaven, Michigan. Dexerto first reported the announcement.

JiDion explains what happened after the Woodhaven McDonald’s arrest

The case began on June 22 when JiDion, whose real name is Jidon Armani Adams, livestreamed a visit to a McDonald’s in Woodhaven, Michigan. He and a group of supporters were confronting a man they described as an alleged squatter. Police arrived and ordered everyone to leave the property. When the situation continued, JiDion was arrested. A day later, he appeared in court and was charged with two misdemeanors: disturbing the peace and stalking. Three minors who were also arrested during the incident faced disturbing the peace charges. JiDion was released on a $10,000 bond while waiting for his next court date on July 13. Following that hearing, JiDion shared the outcome on social media. He said, “All charges dismissed with prejudice. Fully acquitted. Everyone who got arrested with me got their records expunged too.” According to his update, the court’s decision means the same charges cannot be filed against him again. Dexerto reported that the case officially ended after the July 13 hearing. JiDion also thanked the people who stood by him throughout the legal process. He added that he had covered legal costs for those involved and was happy that everyone could now move on without criminal records connected to the incident.

JiDion says he is leaving livestream pranks behind

Even before announcing the court’s decision, JiDion had already spoken about changing the kind of content he creates. In a YouTube video, he admitted the arrest made him rethink his approach to streaming. He said, “I quit streaming. I quit nuisance stuff. I quit all that.” He also explained that he no longer wants to make content that leads to situations like the one in Michigan. Instead, he plans to spend his time creating videos focused on catching online predators, which he believes can have a more positive impact. Dexerto reported that he described the arrest as a turning point in his career.
