RDJ, Evans, Hemsworth call Doomsday ‘most epic movie yet’

Marvel Studios has kicked off the global promotional campaign for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ with the unveiling of a new concept poster featuring Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth, ahead of the film’s highly anticipated first trailer.The concept artwork was revealed during a promotional event in China and quickly sparked excitement among Marvel fans. The poster places RDJ’s Doctor Doom front and centre, while also featuring Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, Shang Chi, Black Panther and the New Avengers. Notably, many of the characters appear to match the story details and leaks that have circulated online in recent months. Although Marvel Studios has not officially released the poster, the image featuring at the event that hosted Kevin Feige, has indicated that the leaks may be true after all.

Marvel also released a special video message from its leading stars, who addressed fans directly from the set of the film. Robert Downey Jr. opened the message by saying, “We’re taking a quick break from the set of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, and wanted to say ‘hello’ to all you lovely people.” Chris Evans then teased the scale of the upcoming blockbuster, adding, “‘Doomsday’ is coming and the stakes have never been higher. Witnessing how much you love this universe and these characters, keeps us going.” Chris Hemsworth concluded the message by promising fans Marvel’s biggest spectacle yet. “Like our collective boss and friend, Kevin will soon tell you, we are working hard to make this the most epic movie yet. We’ll see you soon.”Speaking at the event, Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige revealed how RDJ reacted when he was offered the vicious role. “His exact words were, ‘I played the best hero… I can play the best villain,'” Feige revealed at the event.

Marvel returns to Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con

The promotional campaign comes as Marvel Studios prepares for its highly anticipated return to Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con after skipping the convention in recent years.The studio has confirmed it will host a major panel dedicated to ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, with widespread industry reports suggesting that the film’s first official trailer is expected to debut online on July 25, 2026, shortly after the Comic-Con presentation.Directed by the Russo Brothers, ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is scheduled to hit theatres on December 18, 2026.
