“While Charlie was DYING…..”: Candace Owens raises fresh questions over Charlie Kirk shooting timeline, points to Ben Shapiro’s comments

Candace Owens has questioned the timeline of Charlie Kirk’s fatal shooting after Ben Shapiro said his security team received updates from Kirk’s security while he was being taken to hospital. Owens argued the sequence of events raises unanswered questions and challenged TPUSA executive Andrew Kolvet over early communications. She has not presented independent evidence beyond public timestamps, a text exchange she cited and her interpretation of Shapiro’s remarks. Meanwhile, Tyler Robinson’s preliminary hearing continues in Utah.

Candace Owens has renewed her public criticism of the timeline surrounding the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk, pointing to comments made by Ben Shapiro and arguing that they raise additional questions about who first learned of the attack. Her latest remarks come as prosecutors continue presenting evidence during the preliminary hearing of the man accused of killing the Turning Point USA founder. While Owens has laid out her own interpretation of the sequence of events, she has not presented independent evidence beyond public timestamps, a private text exchange she referenced and Shapiro’s comments.

Candace Owens focuses on Ben Shapiro’s comments about Charlie Kirk updates

Owens centered her latest claims on a short clip from Ben Shapiro’s show, where he described learning about the shooting while he was in Los Angeles. Recalling the moments after the attack, Shapiro said:”My security was on the phone with Charlie’s security because nobody knew what the hell was going on, while Charlie was still in the back of the car, and we were sort of getting updates along the way.”Owens described the statement as significant and questioned why, in her view, communication appeared to be flowing to Shapiro’s team while Kirk was being transported for emergency medical care. She wrote:”Ben Shapiro just confessed on his show that while Charlie was being transported to the hospital and bleeding out to death, his security was on the phone with Charlie’s security receiving updates.”She then asked:”Someone explain to me why during the minutes while Charlie was DYING in the back seat of the car, Charlie’s security team was providing updates to Ben Shapiro’s team rather than focusing entirely on saving Charlie’s life and finding the killer?”Owens did not provide evidence supporting those conclusions beyond her interpretation of Shapiro’s remarks.

Owens also directed several questions toward Turning Point USA executive Andrew Kolvet, arguing that the sequence of social media posts, news reports and private messages deserved closer scrutiny. She claimed the first public report of the shooting appeared at 12:32 p.m. Utah time, followed by media coverage minutes later. Owens also said Kolvet texted her at 12:40 p.m., saying he knew only that Kirk had been shot. Addressing him publicly, Owens wrote:”Wake up @AndrewKolvet! We need another manufactured lie from you to clear this up.”She continued:”You texted me back at 12:40pm UTAH time and told me that you didn’t know anything other than that Charlie had been shot.”Owens then asked:”Can you tell us why Ben Shapiro was seemingly receiving updates before you? While Charlie was en route to the hospital?”Later in the same thread she added:”Wake up, JUDAS, we want answers.” and asked: “Who informed Ben first?”Her latest posts followed an earlier exchange in which Shapiro accused Owens of using Kirk’s death to fuel conspiracy theories rather than seek facts. Owens responded by criticizing Shapiro before posting the clip that became the focus of her new thread.Meanwhile, the criminal case continues in Utah. Prosecutors are presenting surveillance footage, forensic evidence, DNA testimony and witness accounts during the preliminary hearing for Tyler Robinson, who faces an aggravated murder charge in Kirk’s death. Robinson has not entered a plea, and the court has not made any findings regarding the issues Owens has raised. The hearing is expected to conclude after prosecutors and the defense finish presenting their evidence, at which point the judge will determine whether the case proceeds to trial. Go to Source
