‘Ramayana’ trailer set for July 18 release

'Ramayana' trailer launch: Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash-starrer to have grand unveiling on July 18; venue, time, cast, and more details revealed

The countdown to the trailer launch of director Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited epic ‘Ramayana’ has officially begun. Amid much hype and speculation surrounding the release date, the makers on Wednesday, confirmed that the trailer will be unveiled next weekend, on July 18.

‘Ramayana’ trailer launch event

According to an exclusive report by Variety India, the highly anticipated trailer will debut with a grand launch event at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Saturday, July 18. The trailer launch is expected to kick off the film’s full-fledged promotions. The large-scale event will reportedly offer audiences their most extensive look yet at the ambitious film that reportedly has a Rs 4,000 crore budget.

‘Ramayana’ cast expected to attend

Director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra are confirmed to attend the launch, along with several members of the ensemble cast.Among those confirmed to be present are Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi, who essays Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha and Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra. The attendance of other principal cast members, including Yash, who portrays Ravana, and Sunny Deol, who plays Hanuman, has not been confirmed.The ensemble cast also includes Adinath Kothare, Lara Dutta, Sheeba Chaddha and Arun Govil in pivotal roles.

‘Ramayana’ trailer details

The trailer launch is expected to provide audiences with a closer look at the film’s visual scale and principal characters. As per reports, the first meet between Ranbir’s Lord Rama and Sai’s Sita will also feature in the trailer.However, fans waiting to see the showdown between Ranbir’s Lord Rama and Yash’s Ravana, will have to wait untill 2027. In ‘Ramayana Part 1’, Yash and Producer Namit revealed that Lord Rama and the demon king will not come face-to-face as the film will instead build its separate stories and allow fans into their kingdoms before their massive fight in the sequel.

‘Ramayana’ release date

Mounted as a two-part cinematic adaptation of the ancient Indian epic, ‘Ramayana: Part I’ is scheduled to release in cinemas during Diwali 2026, while ‘Ramayana: Part II’ is slated to arrive in Diwali 2027. Go to Source
