The SIT’s preliminary report on the Ayodhya Ram Temple donation theft case has revealed shocking details about the alleged methods used by accused employees. According to the report, cash was allegedly hidden in shoes, clothes, pockets, and even bathrooms before being taken out from the counting room. CCTV footage reportedly captured suspicious activities, including employees removing notes from bundles during the counting process. Investigators also found bank fixed deposits and financial assets of some employees that appeared disproportionate to their known income. The SIT identified six individuals as having suspicious roles based on CCTV evidence, recoveries, and other findings — Avinash Shukla, Anukul Mishra, Lavkush Mishra, Manish Kumar Yadav, Karunesh Pandey, and Ramashankar Mishra. However, names of accused Tilloo Yadav and former bank employee Subhash Chandra Srivastava were reportedly absent from the preliminary SIT report, raising further questions. The report stated that the theft was enabled by three major factors: alleged dishonest intentions of employees, weak monitoring systems, and security lapses. Further investigation into bank accounts, properties, and financial transactions has been recommended.
