Salman Khan’s Being Human Foundation has extended support to flood-stricken areas in Punjab by providing five rescue boats for relief operations. Three boats are actively involved in rescuing individuals, delivering essential supplies, and assisting volunteers in challenging terrains. Furthermore, the foundation intends to adopt flood-affected villages near Husainiwala, showcasing a commitment to long-term recovery efforts.

Salman Khan has stepped up to support flood-hit Punjab as the state reels under heavy monsoon rains, joining a wave of Bollywood and Punjabi stars coming together to help those in need. Through his Foundation, the actor has sent rescue boats and pledged to adopt affected villages.

Three boats already in action

A report in India Today stated, his charity organisation has sent five rescue boats to assist with relief efforts. According to officials, three of the boats are already in action, helping rescue stranded people, delivering food, and supporting volunteers in areas that are hard to reach. The other two boats were handed over at the Ferozepur border. Deepak Bali, Chairman of Punjab Tourism, confirmed that the foundation also plans to adopt flood-hit villages near the border town of Husainiwala.

Salman speaks about the relief efforts

On Sunday’s Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19, Salman spoke about the flood situation in Punjab, saying that he and his team are doing everything they can to help. He mentioned that contributions have been made to the relief fund and highlighted that even popular Punjabi singers are putting aside their differences to support the relief efforts.

Flood situation grows severe

Floods in Punjab have become severe, with the death toll rising to 51, according to officials. Heavy rain over the past week caused rivers to overflow, flooding many areas. Relief efforts are underway, but thousands of people are still displaced and struggling for basic necessities.As Punjab faces severe floods, Bollywood and Punjabi stars have come forward to help. Shah Rukh Khan and others shared messages and donation links, while Sonu Sood, Diljit Dosanjh, Ammy Virk, and Punjabi actors like Sonam Bajwa and Gippy Grewal are supporting relief efforts on the ground.
