Qatar’s Interior Ministry on Tuesday confirmed that a member of its internal security force was killed in the Israeli airstrike that targeted senior Hamas leaders in the capital, Doha.

In an official statement, the ministry identified the victim as Corporal Bader Saad Mohammed al-Humaidi al-Dosari, a member of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya).

The ministry said that the officer was “martyred” in the attack, which marked Israel’s first known military strike on Qatari territory.

“According to preliminary information, the attack resulted in the martyrdom of Corporal Bader Saad Mohammed al-Humaidi al-Dosari, a member of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya),” the statement said, adding that several other security personnel were also injured.

The strike — which Israel said was aimed at high-ranking Hamas officials — has sparked international condemnation, with world leaders denouncing it as a violation of Qatari sovereignty and international law. Qatar has been a key mediator in ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas.

Further details about the injured personnel or the full extent of the damage have not yet been released.
