Dhruv Vikram’s next to be helmed by debutant Karan Arvind Kumar

Official: Dhruv Vikram joins hands with debut director Karan Arvind Kumar for commercial entertainer

Actor Dhruv Vikram has officially kicked off work on his next film, adding another exciting project to his growing career. The untitled film, currently referred to as ‘DV4,’ was launched with a traditional pooja ceremony on Thursday. The project has already been creating a lot of buzz as it is the production house’s fourth Tamil venture. Fans are now hopeful as they are eager to see Dhruv Vikram in a full-fledged commercial entertainer after the success of his recent projects; the announcement has done the job.

Dhruv Vikram’s new film begins production

The makers officially unveiled the project on social media with the caption: #MythriTamil04 #DV4 The film begins on an auspicious note with a pooja ceremony, starring #DhruvVikram in an out-and-out commercial entertainer.” The film will be directed by debutant Karan Arvind Kumar, who has also co-written the screenplay with Sabari Nath. While the makers have kept the storyline under wraps, they have confirmed that the project will be an out-and-out commercial entertainer, signalling a new mass avatar for Dhruv Vikram.

A fresh team comes together for ‘DV4’

Along with Dhruv Vikram, the film also features Prithvi Pandiarajan, known for ‘Blue Star’ and ‘Parasakthi,’ and actor Sai Deena in important roles. The technical crew includes cinematographer Viki, editor Jayasuriya, costume designer Praveen Raja, production designer GM Sekhar, and action choreographer Vikram Mor. The launch ceremony was attended by producers Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar, along with filmmakers Adhik Ravichandran and Keerthiswaran, making the event a star-studded affair. Their presence reflected the confidence surrounding the ambitious project.

Another exciting phase in Dhruv Vikram’s career

Although the makers have not revealed the film’s plot or genre, fans believe Dhruv Vikram could once again be seen playing a sportsman after ‘Bison Kaalamaadan.’ Earlier this year, the actor shared videos of himself undergoing kickboxing training with the caption, “New film. New skill. New sport. New drill.” He later posted a rugged look from an action sequence, further fuelling speculation about the film’s theme. Before making his directorial debut, Karan Arvind Kumar worked as an assistant director on ‘Adithya Varma’ and ‘Sorgavaasal’ and recently contributed as a writer to RJ Balaji and Suriya’s ‘Karuppu.’ With a promising cast, an experienced production house, and a fresh director at the helm, ‘DV4’ has already emerged as one of Dhruv Vikram’s most anticipated upcoming projects.
