Only thing Boston Brahmins care about is…: Ex-wife’s chilling words on Coldplay row turns prophetic

Only thing Boston Brahmins care about is...: Ex-wife's chilling words on Coldplay row turns prophetic

Kristin Cabot’s husband Andrew Cabot claimed they were separated weeks before Kristin was seen with her then-boss Andy Byron in the Coldplay kiss-cam video.

As Andrew Cabot, the CEO of Privateer Rum, seeks a clean end to the Coldplay kiss-cam scam, in which his wife Kristin Cabot was involved, the chilling words of Andrew’s ex-wife emerge as prophetic as she said Boston Brahmins only care about money and ego, and Andrew was not at all disturbed by the scam. Kristin Cabot was spotted in an embrace with her then-boss Andy Byron at a Coldplay concert. The controversy became a major one with both Kristin and Andy leaving the company Astronomer, which turned a new leaf with a new leadership following the controversy. After a month of the Coldplay concert row, Kristin Cabot filed for a divorce from her husband. Andrew Cabot was on a business tour in Japan when the concert took place and he maintained silence over the issue — though he was the third-most discussed name in the entire episode after Andy and Kristin. And it’s because of his family name and business.

Andrew’s spokesperson says they were already separated

Now a spokesperson for Andrew Cabot told PEOPLE that several weeks before the Coldplay concert, Kristin and Andrew were separated. “Their decision to divorce was already underway prior to that evening,” the spokeswoman adds. “Now that the divorce filing is public, Andrew hopes this provides respectful closure to speculation and allows his family the privacy they’ve always valued.”

‘He’s a Boston Brahmin, that’s their code’

Julia Cabot, Andrew’s ex-wife, recently opened up about the controversy though it had nothing to do with her. She said her phone was buzzing with messages and she was receiving loads of texts from people who said it was all ‘karma’. Speaking to DailyMail recently, Julia gave a clear picture of what went through Andrew Cabot’s head when the scandal played out. It was not all guesswork as Julia said she texted Andrew right after the video went viral. And the reply she received is the same thing Andrew’s spokesperson told the media now: that Andrew Cabot had nothing to do with Kristin Cabot as they were already separating. “He’s saying it has nothing to do with him, even though they were married and shared a house. But then, the only thing he cares about is money,” Julia said about her ex-husband.”He’s a Boston Brahmin, that’s their code: ‘This isn’t anything to do with me.’ His ego is too big to be affected by this and the only thing that he’s bummed about is that he was embarrassed,” Julia said.
