One of Marathi cinema’s most accomplished actors, Subodh Bhave has built an illustrious career by portraying some of the most iconic personalities on screen while effortlessly balancing commercial entertainers and critically acclaimed films. Best known for his performances in classics such as ‘Balgandharva’, ‘Katyar Kaljat Ghusali’, ‘Ani… Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar’, ‘Har Har Mahadev’, ‘Lokmanya: Ek Yug Purush’ and ‘Mulshi Pattern’, the actor has consistently won praise for his versatility and powerful screen presence. He has also made a mark in Hindi cinema with films includingRani Mukerji starrer ‘Aiyya’, ‘His Story of History’, ‘Sajni Shinde Ka Viral Video’ and most recently ‘Baba Neem Karoli’. After appearing in films such as ‘Aiyya’, ‘His Story of History’, ‘Sajni Shinde Ka Viral Video’ and most recently ‘Baba Neem Karoli’, Subodh is now said to have joined the cast of ‘Queen 2’.

‘Queen 2’ wrap up glimpse

Kangana Ranaut shared glimpses from the sets of ‘Queen 2’ yesterday as the team wrapped up the shoot. She posted a picture from the cake-cutting ceremony in which she is seen feeding cake to director Vikas Bahl, while a young boy stands beside her. Sharing the photo, she captioned it, “And it’s a wrap!! Wow!! What a wonderful experience,” along with a crown emoji.

Interestingly, a little birdie from the industry revealed that Subodh Bhave, one of the most popular actors in the Marathi film industry, has been cast opposite Kangana in ‘Queen 2’.According to our source, Subodh will play Kangana’s husband in the film. The child seen standing beside Kangana in the wrap-up picture shared by the actress on Instagram will play their onscreen son.We contacted Subodh Bhave for a comment; however, the actor refused to comment on the buzz at the moment.With filming now complete, the project has entered the post-production stage ahead of its theatrical release. However, the makers are yet to announce an official release date. ‘Queen 2’ marks the return of Kangana Ranaut’s celebrated character, Rani, whose journey of self-discovery made the original film one of the most memorable Hindi films of the past decade.

The original ‘Queen’, released in 2014, was directed by Vikas Bahl and received widespread critical acclaim.Kangana delivered a career-defining performance as Rani Mehra, a sheltered young woman from Delhi who embarks on her honeymoon alone after her fiancé, played by Rajkummar Rao, calls off their wedding. During her journey across Europe, Rani gains confidence, embraces independence and rediscovers herself.The film also featured Rajkummar Rao as Vijay, Rani’s fiancé, Lisa Haydon as the free-spirited Vijayalakshmi, Mish Boyko as Oleksander and Jeffrey Ho as Taka. ‘Queen’ was produced by Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane and Madhu Mantena, with music composed by Amit Trivedi.
