The political battle over the alleged Ram Temple donation theft has intensified, with Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav reiterating his demand for a thorough investigation into the controversy. Speaking on the issue, Yadav alleged that the incident has hurt the faith and devotion of millions of devotees across the country. He said that tampering with religious offerings amounts to betraying the trust of people who donate with pure faith. According to him, devotees contribute generously because they believe their offerings reach Lord Ram, and public confidence can only be restored through complete transparency and accountability. Referring to his earlier social media post that first raised questions over the alleged donation theft, Akhilesh Yadav said he believes Lord Ram made him a medium to bring the matter before the public. He remarked that he had no prior intention of becoming involved in the issue but felt compelled to speak after the facts came to light. He added that only those with the courage to stand for the truth should come forward to expose wrongdoing. Yadav also linked the issue to a broader call for an impartial investigation, saying the truth should emerge irrespective of the individuals involved. He maintained that devotees deserve to know whether their offerings were handled honestly and transparently. The remarks come as the SIT and police continue investigating the alleged donation theft at the Ram Temple. The controversy has triggered sharp political exchanges, with opposition parties demanding accountability while the ruling side has maintained that appropriate action will be taken against anyone found guilty after the investigation is completed.
