'Peddi’ box office collection day 27: Ram Charan’s sports drama mints Rs 240.85 crore on Tuesday

Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer sports action drama, ‘Peddi,’ directed by Buchi Babu Sana, was released on June 4. The film will soon complete a month of its theatrical release and is adding decent numbers to its total box office collection.As per trade analyst Sacnilk, the film minted Rs 36 lakh across 947 shows on Tuesday. During its first week, the film earned a total of Rs 193.55 crore. As the days passed, the film’s collection dropped, and in its second week it made Rs 34.45 crore. Further, the third week earned Rs 9.37 crore.After this week’s collection, the total India gross collection stands at Rs 284.77 crore and total India net collection is Rs 240.85 crore as of now.The film’s overseas collection is recorded at Rs 52.90 crore gross, pushing its total worldwide gross collection to Rs 337.67 crore.

‘Peddi’ occupancy

The total Telugu occupancy was recorded as 18.86%, with a larger share coming during the afternoon shows with 19.44%. The morning shows added decent strength with 16.22%, and the evening shows had 16.11%. The night shows recorded 17.33%.

Speaking about the film, it tells the story of a cricketer who plays for any team that is ready to pay him. His life changes after an incident with fellow villager Appalasuri, who has spent many years trying to get a railway halt and official recognition for their village. Using his elite sporting skills, he later grows from a player who only wants money into a dedicated sportsman who is ready to make sacrifices for others.
