Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India on Tuesday said it will pass on the entire benefit of the recent Goods and Services Tax (GST) rationalisation to customers, effective immediately. The revision will translate into price cuts ranging from ₹4.5 lakh to ₹30.4 lakh across its portfolio of Range Rover, Defender and Discovery models.
Rajan Amba, Managing Director, JLR India, said, “The GST rationalisation on luxury vehicles is a welcome move for customers and for the industry. This move will provide much-needed impetus, reinforcing our confidence in and commitment to India’s luxury market.”
Revised prices
According to the company, Range Rover models will see price reductions between ₹4.6 lakh and ₹30.4 lakh, the Defender by ₹7 lakh to ₹18.6 lakh, and the Discovery by ₹4.5 lakh to ₹9.9 lakh. Customers have been advised to confirm the exact price benefit on their preferred model through authorised JLR dealerships.
The Tata Motors-owned luxury carmaker said the move is in line with its “customer-first approach” and the government’s broader push to stimulate demand in the automotive sector.
As part of its global “Reimagine” strategy, the company is targeting carbon net zero across its supply chain, products and operations by 2039, with electrification at the core of its future line-up.
