The Supreme Court has declined an urgent hearing in the Ram Mandir donation theft case, stating that the matter will be heard after July 12. The petitioner argued that the allegations were serious and required immediate judicial intervention, but the court refused to fast-track the case. Meanwhile, the Ayodhya Police has intensified its investigation by questioning officials at the SBI branch in Naya Ghat. Two bank employees, Ratnesh and Gagandeep, are under scrutiny over their alleged role in handling temple donation collections. Police have also recorded the preliminary statement of Champat Rai and may question him again, while Anil Mishra could also be called for questioning. The investigation has further sparked controversy over reports that Champat Rai allegedly resigned based on an SIT report, even though the report has reportedly not been made public, raising fresh questions about the case.
