Spiritual leader Dhirendra Krishna Shastri has strongly reacted to the alleged Ram Temple donation theft case, stating that those accused of stealing offerings made by devotees will face not only legal consequences but also “divine punishment.” Speaking during a religious event in Jakarta, Indonesia, Shastri drew a comparison between the alleged theft and the story of Ravana from the Ramayana. Referring to the epic, he said Ravana abducted Goddess Sita and ultimately faced the destruction of his entire kingdom and family. Shastri remarked that those who allegedly misappropriated donations offered to Lord Ram had, in his view, betrayed the faith of millions of devotees. He said the incident represented not merely a financial crime but a breach of the trust and devotion of countless worshippers. Shastri welcomed reports that an FIR has been registered and that arrests have already been made. He expressed confidence that the investigation would continue and that additional individuals connected to the alleged theft would also be identified. He emphasized that anyone found responsible would inevitably face both legal action under the law and what he described as God’s ultimate justice. The remarks come as the investigation into the alleged donation theft continues to expand, with authorities examining the role of temple employees and bank personnel involved in counting the offerings. The case has sparked widespread public debate and intensified calls for complete transparency and accountability in the handling of temple donations.
