Prime Minister Narendra Modi has departed on a three-day visit to Seychelles, where he will attend the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the country’s National Day as the Chief Guest. During the visit, he is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Seychelles President Wavel Ramkalawan to strengthen cooperation across key sectors. Marking 50 years of diplomatic relations, the visit aims to deepen strategic and maritime ties between India and Seychelles. PM Modi described Seychelles as an important maritime neighbour and emphasized the shared commitment to advancing the interests of the Global South. The visit is expected to open a new chapter in bilateral relations, reinforcing mutual trust, regional security cooperation, and long-standing friendship between the two nations.
