‘Ramayana’ is still months away from its release, but the team is already treating fans to some exclusive footage.According to viral new posts on social media, the makers of the upcoming mythological epic, treated a select group of fans and content creators to an event where they reportedly screened behind-the-scenes footage. The film’s leading men, Ranbir Kapoor and Yash also took time off their schedules to make special appearances.Photos from the event, which have since surfaced online, showed both actors interacting warmly with attendees. Yash was seen greeting fans with hugs and posing for photographs, while Ranbir spent time chatting with guests and taking pictures with them during the intimate gathering. The event reportedly featured behind-the-scenes footage from the ambitious two-part saga, with one of the biggest highlights being the first look at actor Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra. Attendees took to social media to praise the visuals, with many expressing excitement saying, “They showed some incredible BTS! The biggest surprise was seeing Kunal Kapoor’s stunning look as Lord Indra! Absolutely blown away by the visuals.” The fan interaction is one of several outreach efforts being organised by the film’s team has been ramping up promotional efforts for what is being billed as one of Indian cinema’s most ambitious productions. The buzz surrounding the event has also fuelled speculation that a new trailer or major promotional asset could be unveiled soon, although the makers have yet to make an official announcement.With rumours of the team possibly being one of the many films at Comic Con 2026, fans can expect some new material dropping between July 23 to July 26.Meanwhile, the film continues to make headlines within Variety India, reporting that producer Namit Malhotra is currently in discussions with several major distribution companies regarding the domestic theatrical distribution of the two-part epic. As per the report, the makers are reportedly asking for Rs 450 crore for the Hindi theatrical distribution rights alone. Trade analysts believe that even if the deal closes in the Rs 300–400 crore range, it could establish a new benchmark for Hindi film distribution.Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. The film is slated for a Diwali release.
