The ZEE5 crime thriller, directed by Abhinay Deo, also helped Razdan build a warmer bond with Karisma Kapoor, who plays her daughter in the seven-episode series. Razdan said their real family connection made filming easier, while Helen’s presence added a lightness that stood out in the intense show.

Mid-Day reported that Razdan spoke about her experience on ‘Brown’ and recalled how the series gave her both a strong role and a chance to work closely with Kapoor. She said, “I don’t recall if the shooting of Brown happened first or Ranbir [Kapoor] and Alia’s [Bhatt] wedding!”Razdan plays Janice, the mother of Kapoor’s Rita Brown. Speaking about Kapoor, she said, “It was a pleasure working with her. The fact that we were already family made a huge difference and went a long way [in making] it easy.”The actor also praised Helen, who appears in the series with Kapoor. Razdan called Helen’s comic timing a “revelation” and said one moment left her struggling to stay in character. The story headline quoted her saying, “I couldn’t say my lines because I wanted to laugh.”
