Director Vivek Agnihotri’s film ‘The Bengal Files’ arrived in cinemas on 5 September 2025. The release was surrounded by much controversy and clashed at the box office with Tiger Shroff’s action-packed ‘Baaghi 4’ and Hollywood horror ‘The Conjuring: Last Rites’. Vivek Agnihotri’s film shows slow Monday growth

As per early estimates by Sacnilk, ‘The Bengal Files’ earned around Rs 1.10 crore net in India on its fourth day. This pushed its total collection to Rs 7.85 crore.On Monday, 8 September 2025, ‘The Bengal Files’ recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 18.24%. The audience turnout remained on the lower side, with morning shows drawing only 9.99%. The numbers improved slightly in the afternoon at 17.10%, climbed to 21.66% in the evening, and reached 24.19% by night.

Box office journey over four days

‘The Bengal Files’ opened with Rs 1.75 crore on Friday. The earnings saw a jump on Saturday, collecting Rs 2.25 crore with a 28.57% rise. On Sunday, the film managed Rs 2.75 crore, marking a further 22.22% growth. However, the numbers dipped sharply to Rs 1.10 crore on Monday.
