‘Blast’ box office: Arjun Sarja’s action drama nears Rs 70 crore

'Blast' box office collection day 19: Arjun Sarja's action drama nears Rs 70 crore worldwide with Rs 47.5 crore India net

Arjun Sarja’s action entertainer ‘Blast’ is maintaining its steady run at the box office even in its third week. Positive word-of-mouth and strong support from action-movie fans have helped the movie. Weekday collections have slowed down as expected, but the film is holding up steadily in theatres. Its successful run has helped it emerge as one of the season’s notable Tamil releases.

Arjun starrer faces an expected weekday dip

As reported by Sacnilk, ‘Blast’ collected Rs 0.93 crore net in India on day 19 (third Monday). The film posted strong numbers over the weekend, earning Rs 2.26 crore on day 17 and Rs 2.65 crore on day 18, before dropping on Monday. With the latest addition, the film’s total India net collection has reached Rs 47.58 crore, while its India gross collection stands at Rs 54.70 crore. The action drama continues to pull audiences across territories even in its third week.

‘Blast’ global collection nears Rs 70 crore

‘Blast’ has posted respectable numbers in international markets in addition to its domestic run. The film has grossed Rs 14.05 crore overseas, showing a decent response from the overseas audience. The worldwide gross collection of the film has surpassed Rs 68.75 crore, considering the domestic and international collection. The Tamil version continues to be the major contributor towards the overall business, and the Telugu version has also contributed to the overall collections.

Strong audience support keeps the action drama alive

The main advantage of ‘Blast’ is that it appeals equally to those who love action movies and those who prefer movies meant for the entire family. The presence and star power of Arjun Sarja help keep the momentum going for the film at the box office. As the movie moves deeper into its theatrical journey, the focus will now be on whether it can cross the Rs 70-crore mark worldwide in the coming days.
