Maruti Suzuki India on Monday launched a prepaid after-sales service programme, Smart Maintenance Plan (SMP), for existing customers across its passenger and commercial vehicle range.

The company said the plan offers multiple service configurations, including labour-only, parts and labour, commercial vehicle minor services, customer-demand services, and engine oil and coolant replacement packages.

Customers can opt for the plan either at the time of vehicle purchase or later by visiting any Maruti Suzuki authorised dealer workshop, according to an official press release.

Different tenure and mileage options are available under SMP, ranging from two years or 20,000 km to 10 years or 100,000 km for private vehicles, and up to 10 years or 160,000 km for commercial vehicles.

The company said customers subscribing to the plan can save at least 10 per cent on labour costs, with additional savings on parts and consumables. The prepaid structure also offers protection against future inflation for services covered under the plan.

“With the Smart Maintenance Plan, customers can customise service packages while also protecting themselves from future fluctuations in service costs by locking in maintenance expenses. Through this initiative, we aim to further enhance convenience, trust and long-term value for our customers,” said Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director, CEO, Maruti Suzuki India.

The plan will be available across the company’s authorised dealer workshop network in India, regardless of the location where it was purchased.
