Maruti Suzuki India on Tuesday introduced a price protection scheme for its entry-level car range, shielding customers from the company’s recently announced price increase for a limited period, reported PTI.

The scheme applies to bookings made until June 14, 2026, for the Alto K10, S-Presso, Celerio and WagonR. Customers who book these models within the specified period will be protected from the price hike that came into effect this month.

In May, Maruti Suzuki announced a price increase of up to ₹30,000 across its model range, citing inflationary pressures and higher input costs. The extent of the increase varies by model.

The automaker said the price protection initiative aims to support affordability for entry-level buyers amid rising vehicle costs.

Separately, the company has launched a recurring deposit-backed auto loan product, named Suhana Safar, for the same four models. According to PTI, the programme allows prospective buyers to deposit monthly instalments equivalent to a vehicle EMI into a recurring deposit account for three to six months. The accumulated amount can then be used as a down payment for a car loan from the participating bank.

According to the company, the scheme has generated around 8,000 enquiries and over 1,700 bookings so far.
