When Kajol couldn’t recognise anyone after set accident during shoot

When Kajol couldn't recognise anyone after set accident during 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' shoot, but remembered Ajay Devgn instantly

For millions of fans, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ remains one of Bollywood’s most cherished romantic dramas. From its memorable soundtrack to the iconic pairing of Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukerji, the film continues to enjoy cult status. However, behind the smiles and romance on screen lies a lesser-known incident that left the cast and crew deeply concerned. Years ago, while filming one of the movie’s most popular songs, Kajol suffered an accident that briefly affected her memory and brought the shoot to a standstill.

Trouble during the shoot of ‘Yeh Ladka Hai Deewana’

According to The news, the incident reportedly took place during the filming of ‘Yeh Ladka Hai Deewana’, a lively sequence featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. As part of the scene, the actress was riding a bicycle when things unexpectedly went wrong. Kajol reportedly lost her balance and fell hard during the shoot. The impact was serious enough for her to lose consciousness, prompting immediate panic among those present on set. What initially appeared to be a routine shooting mishap soon turned into a worrying situation.

Kajol’s temporary memory loss shocked the crew

After regaining consciousness, Kajol was reportedly unable to understand where she was or why she was surrounded by film crew members. According to accounts from the time, she appeared confused and struggled to recall details about the ongoing shoot. The actress allegedly failed to recognise several people around her, leaving director Karan Johar and the production team alarmed. For a brief period, it seemed as though the accident had erased parts of her immediate memory.Amid the confusion, there was one person Kajol reportedly remembered without hesitation, Ajay Devgn, who was dating her at the time. Concerned about her condition, Karan Johar is said to have contacted Ajay and informed him about the accident. The actor rushed to the location to be by her side. Those present later recalled that Kajol appeared noticeably calmer after seeing him, and gradually began recovering from the shock of the incident.

A real-life love story hidden behind the cameras

While ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ eventually became one of the biggest hits of the late 1990s, this behind-the-scenes episode remains one of the film’s most fascinating stories.Years later, the incident continues to be remembered as a touching reminder of Kajol and Ajay Devgn’s bond long before they tied the knot. What began as a frightening accident ultimately became a memorable chapter in one of Bollywood’s most enduring relationships, a story that fans still revisit with affection today. Go to Source
